Have any of you guys been to SXSW festival in Austin before? I wanted to know if it is necessary to get that expensive music badge ($700) or if I could just pay at the door for the shows I want go to. Or maybe there is some less expensive “pass” type thing I can also buy. I’m conisdering going this year, but I’ll be on a tight budget and I don’t think I can go if I have to get that $700 pass.
Ok, I have had an amazing time at SXSW several years in a row, all without buying much of anything. Free booze, free swag, free food, free parties…all a bad ass time. You can check out my blog from last March to see a few photos I posted.
I recently read a well-written tumblr (by @wornwhite)post about going to SXSW on the cheap. I would highly recommend checking it out. This girl put a lot of effort into her post, and I couldn’t agree with her more.
